The Fourth of July

Here is the latest from H. Alldredge!:

It's been suuuuuper hot in here!!!! It was way fun yesterday (on the 4th of July) because we had hot air balloons coming over the MTC! Later that day, we went and saw fireworks from the Stadium of Fire with other missionaries over at the West Campus, and we got to have some ice cream!!! Yum yum.

The MTC is going great! I'm kinda sick of the whole experience now though... haha. Not in a bad way, but i just want to get into the field now! Some new missionaries did come into our zone last week! 18 new people!!! It's crazy!

I met one of the girls who has the coolest story about her mission:  She was almost going to marry this one guy, but then she also had another one who she was writing to on his mission ( i know so sad!) haha. But she didn't know who to chose or what to do... so she decided to get her patriarticle blessing. In her blessing, it told here straight out that she needed to go on a full time mission. Crazy right?!? So that night, she started her papers, and she got her call mid-may, and it told her that she was leaving in late June for the MTC. She kinda freaked out because she was going to have to pay for her whole mission because her parents couldn't, so she wanted to work like crazy in the summer time to get as much money as possible. Her and her mom prayed that day for help because they didn't know how they were going to pay for it. Then that day, the girl went all over trying to find a job but no one was hiring, and so she got super discouraged that night. Later, when she checked her mailbox, she found an envelope that only had her name on it. She opened it and it said that they were glad she chose to go on a mission, and that they knew it was something that she had to do. And THEN... they told her that they would pay for her WHOLE mission!!!!!!! How crazy is that?!!! She has no idea who it was, but she knows that the Bishop gets a check every month paying for her mission. How crazy!!!!!!!! I thought that was so amazing!!!!

I love the stories and the people i get to meet here! My testimony and conversion is being strengthened everyday, and i absolutely love it! Time here just flies by but not at the same time! the days feel like weeks but the weeks feel like days! It's crazy!!! Oh, and i was called to be the new missionary music coordinator fyi, not that exciting but an interesting calling haha. Happy 4th!
